Alien vs. Predator: Requiem

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars * * *

About this movie

The follow-up to the worldwide hit 'Aliens vs. Predator'. Humans once again get caught in the middle of the continuing, centuries-old war between Aliens and Predators. When a Predator scout ship crash lands in a Colorado town, the Aliens on board escape and kill all the Predators… except one. The last remaining Predator must now destroy all the Aliens as well as the horrific Pred–Alien that was first spawned in the "AVP". Meanwhile the towns people are helplessly caught in the middle of the ultimate face–off between these two mythic creatures.

Comments:
If you are looking for graphic sense of blood and dead bodies, with high tech weapons, then this movie will deliver those expectations. Other than that, this movie has simple story plot of seek, hunt, find and kill the mutant alien-predator creature. The ending of this movie has potential to make a sequal.

The Golden Compass

Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars * * *
About this movie:
Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards) is an orphan who lives happily in Jordan College, Oxford, playing with local boys and terrorizing the professors. However, when Lyra overhears scholars discussing a plot against her uncle, Lord Asriel (Daniel Craig), centering a mysterious substance called Dust, her curiosity is roused. Soon Lyra is in over her head as she uncovers a frightening plot and a whole new world of possibilities.
Comments:
This movie is part 1 out of 3 , a chronicle film and so after I've watched this film, the story plot was slow to build up the characters, obviously because this movie has time to continue onto the next sequal. It is another kids movie with similar themes like "Star Dust" & "The Chronicles of Narnia". However I think that this story plot is not as interesting and popular when it is compared with "The Chronicles of Narnia".

Bee Movie

Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars ***

About this movie:
A comedy that will change everything you think you know about bees. Having just graduated from college, a bee by the name of Barry B. Benson (Jerry Seinfeld) finds himself disillusioned with the prospect of having only one career choice - honey.

Theme:
Learn to fight for injustice against the greedy people and protect those especially if you believe that you yourself or someone else is the victim of exploitation.

Comment:
I like this kid's movie even though I am an adult but good to watch with your kids because as an adult there were some adult humours that even an adult could relate to.

I am Legend - Review

Score: 2 stars out of 5 * *

About the movie:
Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable...and manmade. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City...and maybe the world. But he is not alone.

He is surrounded by "the Infected"--victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there.

Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.
Theme:
Not learning to forgive for your past mistakes for so long can eventually cause a person to lose their faith in a God who is forgiving. When Neville found a female survivor, she told him that God told her to go up north because that's where the unaffected virus free people are living and she ask Neville to come with her. But he refuse to believe.
Comments:
After watching this movie, I like the built up suspense which put the audience on the edge of their seats but the plot was ruin by the way it simiply ends (I can't tell you the ending. You'll either have to watch it or email me if you want to know how the movie ends). A disappointing ending to say the least about the way the movie quickly tries to resolve the issue with the virus outbreak that affected the whole earth population.
